Both of the Three of Us

I rarely ever put up pictures. But this one is an absolute winner. Its been some four months plus away from home, and two-and-a-half months into a change of status.
We have a winning smile, favourite words, sparkling eyes and ...yes, I have fallen hook, line and sinker. (About time, I tell you!). A lifelong romance (even if one sided) begins.

Life continues to a different rhythm. There is, guaranteed, less sleep, more trips to the loo, leaden arms and legs...but otherwise things are as before. Sort of :)
We now measure days through feeds, burps and diaper changes. Through tiny grunts and attractive sighs. We are growing daily. As parents, the Mr and I tend to believe we have birthed the definitive genius...that is until the weekly update from babycentre tells us this is exactly how all babies grow. Damn, it's such an enthusiasm killer. Living as the typical new parent cliche, we take far too many pictures daily and assume everyone is interested in every "goo" and "gaa". We used to laugh at people like us. And now we are them. Life really does make you swallow every word.

Having said that, I'd rather be a cliche than not in this case.

The grey cells have still not returned to previous functioning. Have lost my ability for decisive, exacting words. Now I flubber and flounder through my middling vocabulary to find the word that is best used. I never get it then. Two days later however, my bulb lights up...but the moment is past and gone. The joblessness is not getting to me as yet, but it will. One can only cloak one's restlessness in the word "sabbatical" for so long. After a while you are just "unemployed".
On the personal front, the extra ten pounds are tougher on the pride than they are on the bones. Myth buster: extra tyres like fine lines do not add character. They do not even keep you warm. They ....(see, damn it the word is alluding me completely. I don't like this....) circumcise (Aha!) ones wardrobe by a bit.

Cest la vie. I'll get to all that later. Till the I fumble on.
